The Rose Garden at the Butchart Gardens

The past five months have been a real challenge for us.  We are missing our regular tourist visitors to the city who come from all over the world, and the wonderful energy they bring with them. Some come every year, and we miss our visits with them.  The city just isn't the same without them.  We also miss our out of town Canadian customers that visit our city every year.
Over the years we have come to know many of them as our friends.  We look forward to the day when we will see you all again!

It has been quiet in the shop, as expected.  We are continually working on keeping the shelves stocked so you have a good supply for your next project.  It is fantastic to see the return of our local customers again and we are so grateful for your support. Many of our customers have been catching up on unfinished projects during this pandemic and it has been wonderful to see all the completed projects!  It has also been heartwarming to hear of their experiences with the state of things.

We are continuing to work on our new website, and we can't wait to reveal it to you.  It has been a big job, but it is coming along nicely.

I hope everyone is enjoying this gorgeous summer we are having.  I was at the Butchart Gardens the other day, and it was beautiful.  The weather was amazing, and the roses!!!  The fragrance just hits you when you go through the rose garden.  It is quite quiet there, and really worth the trip if you are inclined.

Did you have a chance to get some fresh Island Blueberries and Strawberries?  I stock up each year and freeze them so I can enjoy them all winter.

Berry season is unfortunately coming to an end, but you may still have time to get some berries at Gobind Farms in Saanichton.  They have a stand just up from The Root Cellar where I just got a few pints of strawberries and raspberries the other day.  Sooo good with yogurt, coconut yogurt, whipped cream, or ice cream!

Check out Stuart's Berry Patch for spray free Blueberries.  Check their website here for fabulous Blueberry recipes stewartsberrypatch.com/recipes/

There is nothing like Gobind Farm's Strawberries.
